3.10. COLOGNE: Prajnaparamita
In the first part of this event, we will speak about Prajnaparamita at the Rigpa Center in Cologne. Amidst the sea of things that are composite, impermanent, fleeting, and in motion, wisdom is the only thing that offers us comfort and refuge. It is such a pure, liberating reality within ourselves, waiting only to be seen and recognized. The teachings of Prajnaparamita are what truly give us hope in this dark age.
4.+5.10. DÜSSELDORF: Samantabhadra's King of Aspiration Prayers (Zangchö Mönlam)
In the second part of this series – taking place at the nearby Rigpa Center in Düsseldorf – the focus will be on the teaching of Samantabhadra’s King of Aspiration Prayers (Zangchö Mönlam). This beautiful sutra teaches us how to put the teachings of emptiness into practice, which is far more than just reflecting on the reality of things. We will also follow parts of the inspiring life of Sudana and Samantabhadra’s great bodhisattva teachings to him in the form of these aspirations. This sutra presents the complete path to awakening and can indeed be seen as a much swifter path than that of the general Mahayana teachings.
As mentioned in the prayer, simply reading and contemplating this sutra with devotion will ultimately lead to complete awakening — and temporarily to rebirth in Amitabha’s realm.
