Tendrel Nyesel Drupchö until

A practice for peace and stability and the creation of positive circumstances

“I strongly encourage you to do this practice”
(Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Lerab Ling 2025)

Online participation is possible without registration via this link.

The year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa, who revealed the highly relevant terma of Tendrel Nyesel in 1900. You can read the story of the revelation here.

Tendrel Nyesel possesses an all-encompassing, universal quality—both in terms of the number of Buddhas and deities whose blessings are invoked, as well as in its reach and effectiveness throughout the universe for eliminating and preventing misfortune and conflict.

On this special occasion, we will be joined by the experienced Rigpa teacher Valerie Baker, who will provide support and instructions for the practice of Tendrel Nyesel, as well as the experienced Rigpa practice holder Lama Yönten, who will be our Dorje Löpon.

Tendrel Nyesel is known as a practice specifically dedicated to averting adverse circumstances on the outer, inner, and secret levels, and is considered one of the most powerful practices for promoting peace and stability in the world. The Rigpa community is among the few sanghas that practice this method. We have a special responsibility to keep the lineage of this practice alive!

Participating in a Tendrel Nyesel Drupchö is the best and fastest way to familiarize yourself with this profound sadhana or deepen your practice!

Given the global events that are hanging in the balance, this powerful practice is viewed by many lamas as particularly timely and significant. Through seven days of intensive practice together, we can direct the power of this practice toward the current world situation, for the success of all Rigpa's projects, and for the many individual prayer requests offered during this Drupchö.

The empowerment of Tendrel Nyesel was recently given by Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche in Lerab Ling (November 2024) and Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche (December 2025). This enables those who have received the empowerment to fully participate in the practice.

What is a Drupchö?
A Drupchö is a powerful group practice and a unique opportunity to deepen, experience, or simply witness the transformative energy and atmosphere of the practice.

Dedication of the Practice
We focus our practice on peace and stability in the world and pray for the unfolding of wisdom and compassion in the hearts of all beings. We also dedicate it to the continuation of all authentic wisdom traditions and the health and long life of their masters and holders.

Who Can Participate
Drupchös are especially suitable for students who:

  • Have a solid foundation in the practice of ngöndro, including having received ngöndro teachings, such as guru yoga.
  • Have started their ngöndro accumulations.
  • Have already received some instructions for sadhana practice, including a basic understanding of the core principles of Vajrayana.
This means that you have either:
  • Followed the study and practice program of Rigpa in the Vajrayana cycle from the three-year retreat, home retreat, or online streamed Vajrayana retreats from Lerab Ling,
  • Or received these instructions during previous Drupchens with Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche,
  • Or are a student from a sangha other than Rigpa and have received these instructions from a qualified Vajrayana teacher.

Please note: Anyone wishing to practice with recitation needs a Guru Rinpoche empowerment. Those who wish to participate without these prerequisites can simply sit in the atmosphere and do their personal practice for a session, a day, or throughout the entire time.

Donations for the practice
This powerful group practice thrives on the generosity of all practitioners, whether on site or without direct participation.
