Led by experienced director, performer, and clown Hernán Gené, this workshop invites all to explore the world of the clown and the art of beautifully failing.

Participants are encouraged to awaken their creativity and playfulness, understanding the art of the clown as a metaphorical journey through life.

Journey stages include accepting oneself, openness, reconnecting, embracing emotions, acting and reacting, letting go of control, expanding boundaries, and engaging the whole body in creative madness.

Hernán Gené, originally from Argentina and based in Spain, is an acclaimed actor, director, and teacher of Physical Theatre. Since his first play "Arturo" in 1985, he has directed nearly 60 performances and received multiple awards, including the Premio Max. He heads Producciones HG in Madrid, conducts workshops worldwide, and has published several books, such as "The Dramaturgy of Clowns", which won the "Teatro del Mundo" award.

Theaterwerkstatt für aktive Kultur e.V. has been committed since its inception in 2014 in Schwerte to fostering integration and encounters through art. At its core is the professional theater work of STUDIO 7. Since 2015, we have operated the cultural center "Auf der Heide", developing our artistic, educational, and social activities.

Through the Theatercraft series, we offer deep insights into our craft to all interested parties --- through workshops with outstanding theater makers from Germany and abroad.
