Goldregen – Die Poesie zwischen Körper und Geist

Autobiographical dance theatre by Carolin Hartmann

In this autobiographical piece of dance theatre, Carolin invites the audience to experience her current state of being and to understand the physical and mental structures shaping her personal and artistic development.
After multiple attempts adapting to a sick society, a progressive neurological disease is forcing Carolin to pause and find a new path. Relying on her wheelchair, Carolin is choosing a new spiritual and, ultimately, artistic path enabling her to liberate herself from the confines of societal norms. By exploring movement, she begins to read her body in a new way – finding a new language through art, helping her reunite body and soul.

While sharing her personal story in a poetic, sensual, dazzling piece featuring video animation, voiceover (text from her autobiography), dance, and performance, Carolin creates space for the audience to question their own relationship between body and soul and encourages them to find a new approach to their own world. In doing so, this performance not only becomes a space for reflection, but also a vivid, ironic mirror of the world that leaves room for humour and joy.
