Exoplanet
A production of Theater im Kino (UA)
Every day, breathtaking new photos from space telescopes reveal sensations in the depths of the universe: lonely planets without a sun, drifting icy through space, neutron stars that suck each other dry and devour each other like a black widow devours her partner after sex, but also diamond planets and intergalactic clouds of pure alcohol. We are finding it increasingly difficult to understand and comprehend scientific research, to maintain an overview in the face of filter bubbles, plagiarism scandals, conspiracy ideologies, artificial intelligence and the arbitrariness of personal worldviews. An evening that seems to begin as a thematic jazz concert about the wonders of the universe increasingly develops into a science show before the four-piece acting ensemble and the five-piece band finally find themselves in the Berlin subway, which has taken an unusual course through space to an exoplanet.
