acting justice – A trial
A production of Theater im Kino (UA)
"A law is a text that you can abide by or not. It can be revoked or not. It says that things fall from the top to the bottom. You can go to prison if apples fall from the bottom to the top," said one child.
"Blind Justizia is a stylish woman who could see, but can't see as long as there is no justice in the world," said the other child.
"That is art. And that is art. And that is art. And art is art. And art is free. And I make art too," said the child in us and knocked over the board.
An acting performance based on the theater workshops of Theater im Kino Berlin-Friedrichshain on the topics of law, justice and democracy. Under the direction of: Richard Haufe-Ahmels, Jonin Herzig, Paul Marwitz-Seyffert and Ronja Sommer
What is justice? Ten people from different age groups approached this question in eight weekend workshops. Playfully, as authors and in dealing with space and objects. The resulting scenic presentation deals with the democratic approach to justice, law and fairness and is directed on the boards that mean the world.
Supported by the Berlin State Center for Political Education.
