MAM test kitchen is an experimental format in which MAM.manufaktur für aktuelle musik invites composers to enter into a creative dialogue with the ensemble's musicians. New music is increasingly being created in collective processes - at the same time, the range of work of composers who think, conceive and write from their own practice as composer/performers or improvisation musicians is expanding.

In autumn 2024, MAM is working with Neo Hülcker, a composer from Berlin. In his compositions, Neo Hülcker deals with anthropological investigations of everyday living environments in the form of staged situations, performative installations, videos, actions and interventions. His music incorporates digital practices, childhood, animal-human relationships, queer behaviour and cultural hacking.
