From October 19 to 25, the UdK Berlin will be in the throes of competition fever when 44 of the world's most talented musicians demonstrate their skills in the International Max Rostal Competition for Violin and Viola.

After two intensive competition rounds, three finalists per subject will compete in the concluding final concerts, the highlights of the competition week. Together with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the direction of Pavel Baleff, they will perform challenging solo concertos for viola and violin in the UdK concert hall.

The final concert in the viola category marks the crowning conclusion of the competition week for the violists. Accompanied by the Radio Symphony Orchestra, the finalists will perform selected works and compete for recognition of their outstanding musical achievements.
