From October 19 to 25, the UdK Berlin will be in the throes of competition fever when 44 of the world's most talented musicians demonstrate their skills in the International Max Rostal Competition for Violin and Viola.

After two intensive competition rounds, three finalists per subject will compete in the concluding final concerts, the highlights of the competition week. Together with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the direction of Pavel Baleff, they will perform challenging solo concertos for viola and violin in the UdK concert hall.

The final concert in the viola category marks the crowning finale of the competition week. Accompanied by the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester, the finalists will play selected works and compete for the award for their outstanding musical performance.
