WB Live Presents

Los Kjarkas - Berlin

Los Kjarkas are a symbol of music and culture in Bolivia, and they are one of the most influential ensembles of folk music in Latin America.

For over five decades, Los Kjarkas have revolutionised Andean music, embracing the richness of traditional folk rhythms and instruments, and creating their own sound, which has represented several generations of people in the Andean countries. Their soulful melodies, sublime vocal harmonies and expressive lyrics have won fans across Latin America and beyond.

Their song “Llorando Se Fue” was used by Kaoma to create the worldwide hit “Lambada”, which was later adapted by several international artists in many hits. Other songs have become anthems to many people in Bolivia and beyond.

For half a century, Los Kjarkas have travelled the world, giving more than 6,000 concerts in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia, introducing their distinctive sound to audiences around the world.
