Nora Gomringer reads from „Am Meerschwein übt das Kind den Tod“
“She leaves behind three children and a hyphen. She leaves me her friends, her library, her unease. I write about her as a daughter who misses her, as an angry woman, as a silenced poet, and I’m surprised at how little she can be conjured up when I want to. She has—now in heaven—finally emancipated herself. I write about my multifaceted mother, her wisdom and humor, her husband, the thing with the guinea pigs, and myself.”
On the occasion of the book launch for HALT. The Yearbook for Sepulchral Culture, author Nora Gomringer will read from her autobiographical novel “Am Meerschwein übt das Kind den Tod”.
