Introducing venueless, our platform for digital events
The COVID-19 situation has forced event organizers of all kinds to investigate digital options for their events quicker than anyone would have ever thought possible. Over the past weeks, we were able to talk to many of you about your situations, plans, and needs. While many of you already have a good way forward, or even your first digital events already behind you, we felt there were still a lot of you without a good solution to run your event online.
Don't get us wrong, there are a lot of great solutions out there, for many of the individual problems: There are amazing live streaming services, great video conferencing tools, lovely group messengers and useful audience participation tools. But there's a lack of integrated solutions that combine all of these components into a single, simple, and user-friendly experience.
venueless is our approach of combining existing tools you might already know (like BigBlueButton for video calls) plus some newly developed tools into one user interface. We're aming for simplicity here, both for you and for your attendees. venueless will be tightly integrated into pretix for paid events right from the start. Your attendees buy a ticket, click a link, and they're in. No fuss about logins, passwords, downloading apps, etc.
Right now, venueless is still a work in progress, and we're hoping to host the first real events mid-June. However, if this is interesting for you and your event at all: Now is the time for you to talk to us, tell us what you imagine for your digital event, and plan the execution together.
