pretixdesk Check-in application ← beta!

Check in attendees online and offline

pretixdesk is our check-in application for laptops and desktop computers. You can use it at the entrance of your event to scan your attendees' tickets. It allows to search attendees by name, as well.

pretixdesk works with and without a hardware QR code scanner. All scanners that are emulating an USB HID device should work. If you are interested in buying a QR code scanner, feel free to contact us for more information.

By default, all tickets are invalidated on the server in realtime. However, you can also turn this off in case your internet connection is slow or unreliable. In this case, the application will regularly synchronize with the server in the background but performs everything else local.

To safe you the trouble of downloading and updating Java yourself, some of our installers come with bundled Java environments that you do not need to care about. We'll always provide versions with the latest Java versions. On the downside, those packages are quite large (100-200MB). If you want to maintain your Java installation yourself, you can do so and just grab the .jar file below.

Linux

Ubuntu/Debian packages: Repository instructions
Arch Linux packages: stable version / development version
For other distributions, try the Java package below

macOS

We do not have an application package for Apple macOS yet. In the meantime, you can try to install Java yourself and use the executable Java archive downloadable below. Let us know if you want to help create one.

Java

Please not that you need Oracle Java 9(!) for this application, older versions of Java or OpenJDK will not work.
