How cool that you want to try out pretix! Before we create your first event, we need to know a few things about you. If you get stuck, please do not hesitate to contact us for help!

Just as a note: You can start creating your event and play around with our software for free and without any obligations. We will not charge you before you publish your ticket shop to everyone and we'll talk to you about the billing procedure as soon as you are ready to do that. You can find our pricing details here.

What's your name?

Please choose your name, not your company's name. You can invite your team mates later to give them access.

What's your email address?

You will use this address to log into pretix. We also might contact you in important situations, but we will never spam you. Promise!

Whose events are you running?

Please tell us the name of the company, association or institution that you want to sell tickets for.

Organizer name

We're glad you want to test pretix! However, we recommend going with the real name of your organization from the start. You can test the software worry-free in our dedicated test mode and will be ready once you want to start selling actual tickets.

Address short form

This will be the URL your events can be found at. We will also use this as an abbreviation of your account in some other places. If you want to use a custom domain, that is totally possible. You can set up your own domain after your account has been created.

We recommend choosing a short form of 16 characters or less.

We're glad you want to test pretix! However, we recommend not to create an account with "test" in its short form. Create the account with the real name right away. You can still test the software worry-free by creating events in our test mode.

We have detected a year within your short form. We recommend against doing that, since you will not be able to change this short form later and it will apply to all future events as well. We recommend that you name the account after your organization – and then use the year within the names of your events that you will create in the next step.

You should not choose a short form that begins with "www.". Please only enter e.g. an abbreviation of your organization's name. If you want to use your own internet address, you can set up a custom domain later on.
