This page lists all major features available in pretix. We grouped them by the different stages your event planning goes through over time. Have fun exploring! If you're bored by just reading about the features, why not just try it out yourself? We won't charge for test accounts.
Note that not all features are available with every edition of pretix and some are only added via plugins. We marked all features with the symbol if they are only available in the Hosted and Enterprise Editions, but not in the pretix Community Edition.
We believe that the right way to provide a ticketing platform is to have the attendees pay the ticketing fee directly to you. We don't want to process your money in order to get the money to you as soon and securely as possible. This way, you stay in control and unnecessary fees are avoided.
At the same time, pretix supports all payment methods that you could think of: Bank transfer, direct debit, credit cards, PayPal, SOFORT, giropay, and many more. Scroll down for a complete list.
This also means that you need to create an account with a payment service provider yourself or need to monitor your bank account if you want to accept direct wire transfers. However, our tools make this as easy for you as possible. Below, we listed all currently supported payment providers with all their benefits and drawbacks. It's your money – and your choice.
If you want, pretix can automatically generate invoices for all orders or payments. You can configure in detail everything that is printed on the invoice to adjust it to your legal requirements.
If you're selling products across borders within the EU, pretix even supports invoices in accordance to reverse charge legislation (although reverse charge is usually not applicable if you just sell event tickets).
You can later export all invoices to give them to your accounting department. If you want, we can issue ZUGFeRD-compatible invoices as well.
The cheapest and most direct way is to have your customers pay directly to your bank account. You can therefore accept payments via classical wire transfer. pretix will instruct your customers to send the money to your bank account. Then, you can tell pretix which payments arrived. You can do this manually, semi-automatically by uploading a CSV bank statement from any bank, or (if you are a bit more tech-savvy and have a German bank account) even automatically via HBCI/FinTS.
In the SEPA area, we also support direct debit. If you enable this feature, you can regularly download a SEPA XML file from pretix that you can give to your bank to initiate the debit.
Stripe is a US-based payment provider originally making credit card processing very easy for merchants. Nowadays, they also offer other payment methods like giropay, iDEAL, and SOFORT that are popular within European countries.
Stripe usually sends the incoming money to your bank account seven days after the payment has been made. Because of the easy setup process, their great user interface, and comparatively low processing fees, Stripe is our recommended service for accepting card payments.
Mollie is a Netherlands-based payment provider that excels in bundling a huge number of European payment methods within one single gateway and dashboard. With one single Mollie account, you can accept nearly all popular payment methods common accross central European countries.
Of course, pretix is able to connect with the internet's most prominent payment service, PayPal. You can easily accept payments with paypal and all payments will directly go to your payment account.
PayPal supports mechants in most countries.
Klarna is a Swedish payment service provider, most well-known in Germany for it's service "Sofort".
We also support some more payment providers like SIX, Novalnet, Modirum, BitPay, ePay21 or GiroSolution.
